    Unoriginally awesome news but the cynic in me is wondering if this is step 1 to dropping the US Dollar in favor of cashless transactions through X dot com, Da Everything App

      Nah, Canada dropped the penny years ago. It was costing us $0.04 to make a penny. Now we round up or down.

      The problem will be teaching Americans how to round.

        I’m pretty sure the US penny has been in the same situation for my entire life. But saving the country money had never been Trump’s goal, hence my cynicism.
