He’s probably slowly realizing that whatever Putin has on him isn’t going to matter now that he has a solid grip on power in the US, and as such he should do whatever it takes (potentially flipping to back Ukraine) to maintain and increase that power.

Pretty fucking cowardly for everyone to see what’s going on and think: nah, let’s just wait it out till he destroys himself.
