While I remain sceptical and would like to hear from other Subnautica developers, how it was on the inside, I agree that those are some damning accusation. The publisher better is really sure and can prove them or they will lose even the last good will.

With design it’s most often a tricky thing to really define what is stolen and what is ‘inspired by’, but this is just fully 1:1 copied, which is a pretty clear case in my eyes.

With the history of Bungie’s stolen designs, it shows that they have a systemic problem.
