Kind of silly to call this a plea deal and act like it’s just justice as usual. There’s two decades of torture behind it, how can he plead to anything? I also doubt he had a choice between a trial and a plea in any case, it was probably that or back to the torture dome.
I’m sure they have a mountain of evidence but this feels like really gross pandering.
Clearly this man is a step above the rest if he felt the need to give himself a handicap.
