Interesting project, but kinda lame that it’s a Chrome-only API. We shouldn’t be encouraging the use of such interfaces. Is it even a good idea that my web applications can access USB devices?

We tried this once with browser plugins and it was a security nightmare granting arbitrary internet code this kind of access to your machine. It’s cool that we can do it. I’m thinking we probably shouldn’t.
