I have an iPod that’s a version of this. It’s a 5th generation one as well, and has two 512gb SD cards in place of its old 30gb disk. It also boots into Rockbox, a custom firmware, mostly so that I can just copy music to it without using iTunes (or some Perl scripts) to build the special database its factory firmware uses.
