if society collapses I could generate some barely useful amount of electricity even if I didn’t have solar, but I have no idea how to get natural gas into my now useless pipes, or gasoline after the gas stations are empty. Also when we lived in a house with a gas stove my grandparents kept leaving the gas on unlit and we probably could have all died on multuple occasions just from oxygen displacement. they weren’t even senile back then.
If society collapses you don’t have to worry about any of that shit. If you last a week it will be a miracle.

I love gas stoves for cooking. I’ll go out for dinner if I need that sear (
hibachiteppanyaki I’m looking at you).I would not have one in my house. Or gas appliances of any kind, tbh. Tech has moved on. A heat pump and an induction stove are better, and your kids respiratory health will thank you.
