To set the tone, I personally agree with supporting methadone clinics or even controlled distribution of alcohol for some of the seriously dependent.

Sure, privacy is important, but face to face interaction with nurses or doctors can be even more important. Supply booths would help ease volunteer demands, but this method might be more counterproductive.

I do disagree that these would encourage drug abuse. It wouldn’t do anything to mitigate it either.
