I think it was about curved blades being made illegal, despite the fact a billhook bends in the other direction. It might partly be because of a lack of forges, perhaps I could buy an old one and give it a new handle. But machetes, couldn’t find one. Honestly, all the tools are shit now, stamped sheet metal, garden forks with tines you can literally bend by hand, it’s awful if you actually need to transmit any amount of force.

Several of those machetes are ideal for brush cutting. Right hand side, 3rd from the top is about perfect.
