So your job responsibility are:
- Be alive
- Make sure the tracks aren’t stolen
- Let the department of roads know when a crossing needs repairs
- Take your breaks on time

This is an empty desk job somebody got for a buddy. They crop up from time to time. Chicago had a problem with these in, IIRC, the Sanitation department.
In local governments and some other public sector in BC at least, they have to report everyone’s salary over $75k. It’s called a “statement of financial information” or SOFI report and renumeration is usually on the last few pages. Get googling folks, see where your tax dollars are going.
