    It sounds like a coincidence and the sister died later in the day than the mother did, but I guess we don’t know for sure.

    Poor woman. Even if she didn’t have a relationship with her sister and had a complicated relationship with her mother, it still has to have an emotional toll in each case. Hard to imagine the complex emotions that would come with losing two such people on the same day.

      Teddy Roosevelt lost his mother and wife on the same day. Journal entry just said, “the light has gone out of my life.” Pretty succinct.
